Workshop: A puppeteer am I
For 6 to 9 year olds
Aims
To develop individual and team work habits, as well as to resolve disputes. Improving communication skills by providing the children with new expressive language options. The use of different artistic expressions to encourage creativity and reading habits.
Activity
A short introduction to the history of puppets and marionettes through images. The building of a simple, string puppet with which the children will take part in a narrated story and creative group idea, consisting of a short drama that involves the puppets selected by them.
Workshop: The paper theatre
For 10 to 12 year olds
Aims
To develop individual and team work habits. Improving communication skills by providing the children with new expressive language that contributes to a greater knowledge of Spanish. The use of the theatre as a means to develop creativity, reading habits and to bring the pupils closer to the visual and plastic arts.
Activity
What is a puppet? What is a marionette? … Introduction to the history of dolls. Ties between puppets/marionettes with literature. Building of a flat puppet that will take part with the pupils in a story. Creative group idea consisting of building a cardboard theatre to put on shows.
